Kick Serve myths debunked: Former Top 100 ATP Pro, Jeff Salzenstein, is exposing 3 common myths that could be crippling your kick serve potential. Most players make at least 1 of these 3 mistakes... Do you? https://goo.gl/FQgqht The accomplished tennis kick server will know exactly how to get the tight amount of "kick" or spin on the serve. Often times players think they need to focus on pronation to be able to be a good tennis kick server. Many coaches make the mistake of telling players to pronate on their kick serves. Because of inaccurate teaching, most players get confused about whether they are suppose to pronate or not on their tennis kick serve. If you are a tennis kick server or want to learn to be a kick server, I want to you to stop focusing on pronating. Pronating will happen naturally if you have the other elements of the serve in place. The bottom line is that if you pronate too much, it become more difficult to generate the right spin as a tennis kick server. If you think about ending with the palm of your swing arm facing your belly button at the end of your tennis kick serve, you ll generate plenty of spin and naturally pronate during the motion. Next time you go out and try to be a solid tennis kick server, try and focus on finishing correctly instead of focusing on pronating.
