Welcome to this 30 min joyful yoga flow an intermediate practice for backbends and hip openers. Today’s class is designed to lift your mood and give you time to tune out and check in with yourself. This flow includes a dynamic warm up with lots of repetitive movements that work your whole body to prepare you for backbends and hip openers. We start in stillness giving you time to check in and then the class gradually builds up to a full body flow with a combination of strength, endurance, flexibility and mobility. In this class we will work on extended side plank, splits, standing splits, camel and wheel. The emphasis of this class is to build strength as well as flexibility to support your body in backbends and hip openers. This class is an intermediate flow but if you are a beginner please don t think it s not for you - give it a go anyway and see what s accessible. As you ll hear me say throughout the class there s no need to force anything, if a pose isn t there for you it doesn t matter because it s not about forcing it s about feeling.
