The home had great architectural details to begin with, like waffle ceilings, hardwood floors and an open-concept floor plan. When furnishing the space, Catherine Lucie-Horber chose versatile, timeless and durable pieces that are meant to grow with the family. Starting with the daughter's room, where Frozen is the decor theme, the designer used pretty snowflake wallpaper, a shag rug that looks like snow and a custom upholstered headboard with crystals. The boy's room accommodates both a newborn and an elder child, featuring muted colours, built-in cabinetry for storage and a bunk bed for when the crib is no longer in use. The main floor is comfortable while still being elegant. A white leather sofa can easily be cleaned, and a double ottoman with soft edges transforms into a trampoline.
