Bushcraft Shelter 1,461 Days Later: Thatched Roof Saxon House
Here is a tour of the medieval-style bushcraft saxon house with thatch roof that we built 4 years ago. I head back to the saxon pit house or "grubenhaus" to see how it is doing 1,461 days after it was built. The saxons occupied Britain from the 5th to the 11th century. Many of their houses were built by digging a pit in the ground which would help to keep a consistent temperature throughout the year.
