Quebec-based designer Luke Havekes takes us inside a 1954 bungalow in the village of Knowlton. See how he transformed the traditional, closed-off space by creating an open-concept, cohesive layout with bold design moves. The new kitchen features solid wood cabinets with leather and brass handles and a mix of maple and marble countertops. The connected dining room features vaulted ceilings with applied mouldings and a Serge Mouille-inspired light. Vintage Schumacher wallpaper completes the retro look. See the beautiful sight lines in the cozy living room, from the huge bay window with delicate window coverings to the original fieldstone fireplace with brand new built-ins.
