BEFORE: My "She Shed" Garden Makeover is IN PROGRESS! - Thrift Diving

For the past 2 months, I ve been creating a seated garden area in that weedy area behind my "she shed", along with prepping my vegetable garden for spring! When the weather is cold, our bodies want to stay warm inside, right? But ever since I started my journey to better health and living a more active lifestyle almost 2 years ago, I ve pushed through the chill to stay active outdoors! I run every morning during the week (even in 20 degree Fahrenheit weather!), and then I stay active during the rest of the day (and weekends) by doing projects and tasks in my yard. Getting sunshine and working up a sweat while getting a jump start on tasks that most people put off until the spring makes me feel productive! And when I am productive, I feel happier! When I m moving my body, I m happy. When I m listening to my favorite podcasts when I m working outdoors, I m happy. And when spring comes and I ve got all the hardest tasks done (like cleaning up leaves to use for mulch, and sawing branches), it s more fun looking forward to planting and decorating the garden seating area!
