Off Grid LIGHTS (Cabin Wired for POWER)! | Sand, Paint and Floor

We move on to even more interior building finishes to the off grid tiny cabin in the woods with sanding, painting and flooring. We use a sanding block, pole sander to smooth out the walls before applying 2 coats of paint to protect it. We also get the floor prepared for finishes. We are using some modern materials in the construction as these are far more durable than traditional materials. Flooring: https://bigelowflooring.ca/ Our generator fires up right away giving us the ability to see the walls for finishing. Later we will incorporate solar power to the cabin which is introduced in this video. To put up the solar, we ll need to climb the tree! Kevin will go over some tips on how to properly sand drywall and I ll offer some tips on how to paint with a roller sleeve and paint brush. While Kevin is sanding and painting, I will sand out the floor boards for the loft space. I ll teach you how to mix paint to get a decent neural tone from scrape or left over paint. I ll take you on a bit of a tour of the property and bring you to the far side of the property and show off some trail camera footage of the animals on the property. Near our cabin, we have deer, turkey, raccoon, possum (sometimes), squirrel, and much more. I ll show an old tree stand which I plan to rehabilitate for hunting. Later I run the feed wire to power the cabin from the gas power generator. We pop in the pot lights and also the plugs. While we are busy building the off grid cabin, Holden builds himself a bonfire!
