To INFINITY...and Beyond! (Surging Idle, No Comm)

This 2007 Infinity G35x is having a surging high idle problem after a recent timing chain job. But for some reason, it is unable to complete the "Idle Relearn" procedure. When the engine is running, communication is lost with the Engine computer!! Are we on Staten Island?
