Alaskan Malamute Guard Dogs! Angry Side Of Phil

Hey! So Here s some footage of our Alaskan malamute guard dogs. Teddy is not sure what s going on yet with all the barking but he will soon learn. We have allowed this and rewarded the behaviour as although first and foremost they are our pets, they are also a great deterrent of would be thieves! There is crime everywhere and if you see this dogs at the gate your unlikely to want to test them haha. Yes that is our regular DPD driver (they cover areas) even though he is delivering them food haha they are still on guard duty! Just listen to Phil s deep barks, he s pretty scary when he wants to be, Niko likes to follow suit. As we said, we only leave them out the front unattended if say the van is open or Shane is working on something with tools out there or from the days when he used to clean his motorbike out the front. There is also a beware of dog sign as although they have squishy friendly looking faces, they can get quite agitated by strangers approaching their territory! If you ever watched the Derek video where they protect the garden from him you ll know! Once we invite people in they are fine but only if we allow them in and tell them it s ok. All in, it s a pretty good trait to have as they are pack oriented they are property defensive too. Catch them on the park 200m away and they are your best friend!
