Most people hold the backhand tennis volley grip too low. This causes many different problems. Controlling a strong shot hit at you tennis volley will be very difficult if you are holding the racquet down at the bottom as if you were hitting a groundstroke. What I want you to try and do is choke up slightly on the grip. Put the bottom of your palm at the bottom of the grip. This will make you choke up only slightly on the tennis volley. Watch how this will take stress off your wrist while hitting the tennis volley. I started choking up on the volley and started hitting higher quality of volleys while on tour.
