In his study edition of selected Chopin Etudes, Hans von Bülow deviated from Chopin s indicated tempo for Etude Op.10 No.2, marking ♩=114 instead of ♩=144. He also suggested Op.10 No.9 as ♩.=88 instead of ♩.=96. Otherwise, all other Etudes share Chopin s tempo indications. In this experimental recording I followed Bülow s metronome suggestion, but not the extreme dynamics, which are his own, *not Chopin s dynamic markings. Free Hans von Bülow PDF of selected Chopin Etudes from IMSLP Music Library: https://ks4.imslp.info/files/imglnks/usimg/d/dd/IMSLP173467-SIBLEY1802.4185.bf90-39087009939994.pdf "Bülow had a strongly acerbic personality", which you get a sense of in the preface to this Etude edition, linked above. Personal note: Op.10 No.2 is the most useful Etude I am aware of for strengthening the weaker fingers of the right hand. I ve prepared a practice PDF for this Etude which can be downloaded (free) from Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kwbEM5uS0azYI72jMrLjKni8JAoMX26Q/view Related tutorial: Chopin Etude Op.10 No.2 TUTORIAL in 5 Stages of Difficulty https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRxJ5qq5wS8 Related video: Chopin Etude Op.10 No.2 (♩= 144) P.
