In this video I talk about how camping in isolation must feel similar to solitary confinement and how we re wired as a social animal. Perhaps this is on the deeper side and might not be up your alley, but it s certainly an inner perspective that the show (ALONE on The History Channel) doesn t do that great a job at explaining. I think it helps outline why people including grown men reach their tipping point - and why they tear up and cry. Part of the aim of this trip was to discover how I would react to social isolation for an extended period of time. I wanted to know if I would feel the same way as the other contestants on the show.
