So... We have a confession. Our videographer, Sherry, prior to this trip, always used this as her "Never Have I Ever" trump card — She has never EVER watched or read a single Harry Potter movie/book. Travis, the dude in this video, on the other hand, is a Harry Potter FANATIC. He has read all the books, watched all the films, once or twice or maybe even more. Travis then forced Sherry to watch all 8 films before the trip. And Sherry did! She managed to finish all films before the both of them reached London — on the plane ride there, nights in other parts of UK (which we will be uploading a full guide this weekend!), any rest time she had. And she s glad she did it. Else, she wouldn t have enjoyed the experience as much. Moral of the story: You don t have to know anything about Harry Potter to do these 5 things, but if you DO know the series, we guarantee you that you ll enjoy it 10x more, maybe even a 100x more (haha). Check out our Harry Potter-inspired guide around London here: https://thetravelintern.com/harry-potter-london-itinerary/ Without further ado, here are the 5 things you HAVE to do for the ultimate Harry Potter experience in London! 00:16 - The Making of Harry Potter Warner Bros. Tour Nuff said. You get to go behind the scenes, see the exact props they used, relive scenes of the movies and get to do some hands-on stuff as well! It was mindblowing, really. 100000/10 would recommend. 1:06 - House of Minalima Get to look through the actual artwork that is featured in the Harry Potter movie series, including artwork for Fantastic Beasts! This museum-shop houses 4 floors of artwork exhibition, including the ground floor souvenir store. 1:25 - Platform 9¾ (King s Cross Station) We ve seen this all over Instagram. This cute little corner is housed in a small area in the actual King s Cross Station. You ll never miss it because there s always a line leading up to the photography spot. Have fun pretending you re running halfway through the wall! 1:41 - Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Play This play comes with two shows (you can opt for just one), but typically lots of patrons book two shows, and it happens in one day. Be sure to book early and quickly though, because seats are always snatched up. 1:49 - Film Locations Hunting Get to visit the actual film locations where iconic scenes were filmed around London. For this experience, we really highly highly highly (cannot stress this enough) recommend watching all the movies first. If not, it ll just be a cool location to take a photo at. But after watching the movies, it s like the location comes to life! (Can you feel our enthusiasm?) Any other Potter heads out there?
