If Graham Jarvis, Andreas Lettenbichler and Alfredo Gomez choose GoldenTyre there is probably a good reason. We review the GT216AA and GT230 combo to find out why so many of the top riders are swinging over to GoldenTyre for extreme enduro, endurocross, motocross and everyday dirt riding. This Golden Tyre test review brought to you by http://crosstrainingenduro.com GoldenTyre have been around since the early 1980s but it s only in recent years they ve become extremely popular and become the tyre of choice by many of the top riders, especially after Graham Jarvis won extreme enduro events so consistently on them. Here are just some of the riders who ve swung over to Golden Tyre in recent years. The day before the wildwood rock extreme enduro, graham jarvis has won the wildwood rock extreme hill climb on golden tyres. i got to speak with him before he went on to win the extreme enduro on the same set of tyres. I figured if Graham recommended the tyres who was I to argue and made a last minute decision to swap over to Golden Tyres for the Wildwood Rock Extreme Enduro. The Golden Tyre crew recommended the GT216 front and the GT230 rear. Here is the assessment from the guys at Golden Tyres Australia: GT 216 front tyre - Designed and developed for enduro racing, it has also proved to be excellent for motocross use on all terrains. Its special v-shaped tread pattern gives excellent cornering precision. Its light-weight, flexible carcass with reinforced shoulder knobs guarantees a large contact surface and good shock absorption against minor impact on uneven terrain. DIFFERENT COMPOUNDS? E.G. THE X? WEBSITE UNCLEAR, ONLY SHOWS THE AA???? gt 230 rear tyre 230 rear:GT description: Rear tyre suitable for a wide range of terrains, and particularly good for semi-soft, muddy or sandy terrain - excellent traction for relatively loose terrain and discharges mud well. In Australia it s worked well from mud right through to hard pack terrain. The wear varies dependent on tyre pressures used. We find that a 12 PSI mouse works well. Feedback from customers is consistently great, they are getting up to 900kms. RACE CONDITIONS????? First I must stress that I m only assessing these tyres as a clubman level rider but having read every test and review I could find by highly qualified riders we agree on all key aspects so I ll drop their thoughts into this review as well.
