What s WRONG With My BMW 1M? FULL INVESTIGATION

Is trouble lurking!? We re taking my newly purchased BMW 1M to @EvolveAutomotive, for a full investigation to see what might lie underneath. Despite being well serviced, the 1M has 93,000 miles and quite a life, so step one is finding out what we might need to repair or replace. I bought the car and have only driven 100 miles so far due to being away at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, but now it s time to get underneath the E82 gen BMW 1 Series and start to figure out what we re looking at. Knowing that the car has had some paint previously, and is certainly making some unusual diff noises, we have a starting point from which to go in terms of transforming this into an OEM+ machine that will be perfect in the garage. First up, is to plug in the MUCAR CDE900 OBD2 scanner diagnostic tool to find out if the car is throwing any errors up from which we ll nee to start. It can check the engine, transmission, ABS, SRS, TCM, ECM systems on your car, and also read fault/error code messages, and further diagnosis can be accessed with a $40 one-time fee to enable the Scan Diagnosis feature too.
