A new video collaboration between pianist Lang Lang and American dancer and actor Lil Buck captures the intense beauty of music and movement. The two artists met at Versatile Studios, NYC and used the studio space to create this life-affirming performance featuring Christian Petzold’s Minuet in G minor. The astounding movements of Lil Buck’s original blend of street dance and ballet here interpret the pure essence of a composition once attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach. His improvised dance complements the graceful flow of Lang Lang’s playing to perfection, highlighting the ebb and flow of Petzold’s simple themes. “It was wonderful how Lil Buck instantly felt the Baroque style of the Minuet and translated it into the most beautiful dance,” comments Lang Lang. “There was an immediate connection when we began exploring the piece together.” Lang Lang feat.
