Think you’ve seen all there is to Malaysia? Think again. This time, we bring you to three of Malaysia’s hidden gems — Kuantan, Langkawi and Kota Bharu. But it’s not so simple, no. We were given challenges by Scoot, to split up in teams of two, and in each country: 1. The search for the most thrilling and action-packed experiences TEAM KUANTAN 00:41 - Bukit Panorama If you’re up for a hike, this is it. No one else to disturb your quiet time with nature. 00:59 - Sungai Pandan Waterfall After your hike up Bukit Panorama, head to this waterfall to cool off and ease the tension in your body~ TEAM KOTA BHARU 01:16 - Perhentian Islands (Three Point Snorkelling) Just an hour away from the main city of Kota Bharu, there lies the beautiful Perhentian Islands, a snorkelling haven, if you must. :-) 01:27 - Windmill Point The stairs can get quite sketchy, so be careful if you’re headed there. But at the top, you get this panoramic view of the teal-blue waters of Perhentian Islands! TEAM LANGKAWI 01:41 - Umgawa Zipline You get to zip past canopies and canopies and even a beautiful waterfall! 01:58 - Langkawi Skycab 02:05 - Langkawi Skybridge Take one of the steepest cable cars up to the Langkawi Skybridge for the best views ever! 2. The hunt for the best dining experiences TEAM KOTA BHARU 02:18 - Siti Khadijah Market If you want local fare, this is where it’s at. Fresh produce and a whole load of other food stuffs for ya! TEAM KUANTAN 02:35 - Restoran Hoi Yin Probably one of the best curry in Kota Bharu — with the creamy curry and the tender meat. Absolute yumz~ 02:47 - Kula Cakes TRY THEIR MANGO CHEESECAKE!! ‘Nuff said. 02:55 - Ana Ikan Bakar Petai Petai can come across pretty strong, but this particular dish served here is just SEDAPPPPP. Even the team who weren’t huge fans of Petai were converted! TEAM LANGKAWI 03:11 - Sunset Dinner Cruise The best way to end the day — not only with a cruise, but a SUNSET DINNER cruise. With the most gorgeous views along with a satisfied tummy. 03:33 - Pantai Cenang The nightlife here in Langkawi is pretty damned hype if we have to say so ourselves!! 3. Visit to the most iconic attractions TEAM LANGKAWI 03:52 - Kilim Karst Geoforest Spend the morning speed-boating through the mangroves and visiting fish farms and caves. TEAM KOTA BHARU 04:09 - Wat Phothivihan This is where the largest reclining Buddha in Asia sleeps! 04:20 - Wat Machimmaram TEAM KUANTAN 04:25 - Sungai Lembing Mines Take a tour through an actual tin mine! Imagine if it were completely pitch black… Check out our guide to Kuantan, Kota Bharu and Langkawi here: https://thetravelintern.com/hidden-gems-in-malaysia/ ---------------------------------------------- Edited by: Jerome Teo - http://instagram.com/jeromememe Shot by:Jerome Teo - http://instagram.com/jeromememe Isaac Soh - http://instagram.com/isaac_szw Aldo Melrose - http://instagram.com/aldomelrose Team Malaysia Boleh: Jerome Teo - http://instagram.com/jeromememe Aldo Melrose - http://instagram.com/aldomelrose Isaac Soh - http://instagram.com/isaac_szw Edelyn Chua - http://instagram.com/chuaedelyn Michelle Neo - http://instagram.com/rulelezz Lesha Mansukhani - http://instagram.com/theredbeaniegirl Follow our travel guides around the world on: ► https://thetravelintern.com/ Follow us on our travel adventures on social media: ► @TheTravelIntern http://facebook.com/thetravelintern http://instagram.com/thetravelintern Learn about The Travel Intern Programme: ► https://thetravelintern.com/about-tra...
