There is a right way to do it too. Keeping snakes in bins on paper towel with nothing but a water bowl, no snake hide, no décor or anything else is wrong in my opinion. Instead you can outfit your snake enclosure tub in a similar fashion to how Emily at Snake Discovery sets up her snake bins. Natural, often bio active substrate, hides, water bowl, decoration, enrichment, the works. I think this is a much better way to set up snake and reptile enclosures. I keep ball pythons in tubs and often baby leopard geckos, hognose snakes and other colubrids. Big PVC reptile enclosures are my preference and I think they are often better but not always. For example, if your snake does not eat for a while you can try keeping that individual snake in a rack instead. This has worked for me with my Albino Ball Python Pikachu. Also baby snakes like western hognose snakes do much better in smaller tubs until they become adult Plains Hognose Snakes. Heck even African Fat Tailed Geckos and Chinese Cave Geckos or even Japanese Cave Geckos can do really well in racks and tubs.
