Concertgebouworkest Young 2022 Gustavo Gimeno - conductor Concert programme: Coll - Hímnica Dvořák - Symphony No. 9 ‘From the New World’ Under the direction of Gustavo Gimeno, Concertgebouworkest Young 2022 performs a recent work by rising star Francisco Coll, followed by a masterpiece from the orchestral repertoire: Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 (‘From the New World’). The very future of music is right here onstage. It s an extraordinary experience, both for the musicians themselves and for the audience. Concertgebouworkest Young is the international youth orchestra catering for young people aged fourteen to eighteen who could use a little extra support. Since its successful launch in 2019, Young has gained wide acclaim for its uniqueness and innovation: this summer project has turned out to be exactly what the music world needed. Held for the third time in August, 73 talented young people from every corner of Europe are meeting up.
