Why women should ride dirt bikes!︱Cross Training Enduro

Apart from seeing them have so much fun, Dallas Shannon from Traction eRag digs into some of the deeper long term reasons. Check out our other vids about women who ride, like Ina Coleman. Ina is a regular competitor in the womens class for hard enduro events in Australia, and accomplished trials rider. Lately Ina has opted for a Sherco 125 and seems to be bonding with the French bike quite well. Her trials background has given her great balancing skills which of course are a huge bonus for hard enduro riding... or even static balancing on a bush pig like the DR650. I didn't even think this was possible so tried it on my own DR650. It's usually easier on a downhill slope, but I can't still can't nail it. Doh. As for Tim and Ina Coleman, they are in a well balanced relationship by the looks of it. And as we know, the couple that rides together, stays together. And if the name sounds familiar, it's probably because she's married to this larrikin, Tim Coleman. This was filmed a few years ago when Ina was just starting some enduro riding, and the KTM Freeride was a great choice. Sadly this two stroke model has been dropped as it failed to tick the boxes for most riders. Ina Coleman is trying to make an honest man out of Tim, so she has her work cut out for her. And maybe improve his riding too. You can see the trouble he has trying to get over this basic log. Anything but average. Ina Coleman is regular top three finisher in the womens class for hard enduro events, and has even ridden the Sea to Sky extreme enduro in Turkey. But essentially it's about halfway between a trials bike and an enduro bike. Low seat height, light as a feather and great in slow hard terrain for shorter riders.
