Riders will need skill, speed and stamina to get through the opening day’s prolog before battling it out in the Carpathian mountains for the following three days. We'll have a look at the obstacles planned for 2019, but first lets see some of the action from previous years. On "Bulevardul Coposu" in the very heart of Sibiu Town Centre. Each year these guys up the ante with new track designs, spectacular obstacles, extreme elements, and difficult challenges for the competitors to race over. The World famous Red Bull Romaniacs 2019 presents the "Prolog" of Red Bull Romaniacs, where competitors have to prove their endurance, riding skills and experience in front of thousands of fans, television crews, internet watchers, journalists and media. It's tough when it's dry, but when it rains it's a whole new world of pain for the riders. The stars of this omaniacs Prolog 2019 stand out in this extreme race within Sibiu’s town center where artificial obstacles produce an amazing motorcycle show. Sibiu is one of Romania's most beautiful towns and every year tons of rocks, logs, tyres and lumber are carted in to transform the main road into a dirt rider's nightmare. For Red Bull Romaniacs Prolog 2019? Similar obstacles to previous years, but spaced in a way that creates chaos for the riders. Sweet cookies will be anything but sweet, and the selector will reward riders who can ride along narrow beams. The diamond and the podium will be tough if it's dry. But that timber will be incredibly slippery if it rains. The same with the poker and canyon sections. The rocks used provide very little traction once they are wet. The dreaded car tyres are back in the Black and white and minefield sections. If you can avoid the holes riders will be fine in the Red Bull Romaniacs Prolog, but the logs and rocks make it hard to do that. And the rail road? Again the spacing makes this a very tough obstacle to get right, and many riders will probably be almost carrying their bikes over. So best of luck to all you crazy mofos willing to take this on. And remember what doesn't kill you in the Red Bull Romaniacs Prolog 2019 will probably just leave you disabled lol. The race is spread over five days, the first being the inner-city prologue. The four “Offroad race days” takes place on Enduro trails in the region around Sibiu. (Southern Carpathian Mountains). The prologue stage of Red Bull Romaniacs is always held on the "Bulevard Coposu", one of the main streets in the city center of Sibiu and moves onto the nearby rocky mountain sides and thick forests where the competitors have to prove their endurance and riding skills. A different course is set every year for Red Bull Romaniacswith different obstacles for competitors to race over. The Red Bull Romaniacs is part of the Red Bull Hard Enduro Series, together with Red Bull Minas Riders, Brazil (April), Erzberg Rodeo, Austria (June), Red Bull Romaniacs, Romania (July), Red Bull Megawatt, Poland (September), Red Bull Sea to Sky, Turkey (October), Roof of Africa, South Africa (December). In 2018 Red Bull Romaniacs will join the World Enduro Super Series. The track crosses mountain areas, rocky ground, hills and valleys; tarmac is avoided as much as possible. The length varies between 100 km and 180 km each day depending on the class that the competitor enters. The main challenges are the technical parts, which lead through wooded areas, where competitors are challenged with natural terrain obstacles, they traverse over trees, rocks, mud, and mountains. Petrol fuel stops, or tank stops, are placed at intervals of approximately 70 km, where contestants refuel their motorcycles and have the opportunity to refresh themselves. The Red Bull Romaniacs track is marked with banners, signs and colored markings, and is loaded onto a GPS in order to guarantee safety. There are also specially designed spectator points. The Red Bull Romaniacs, is an enduro off-road motorcycle race run annually in Romania. It was created in 2004 by founder Martin Freinademetz. The Red Bull Romaniacs takes place every year (around July) and attracts riders from more than 40 countries.
