Each sonnet is divided into three sections, corresponding to a movement in the concerto. The Four Seasons is program music intended to evoke the changing seasons of the year. I notated what I played by hand. It can be played as a solo or duet with a student taking the bass notes representing the “The barking dog”. The voicing and note distribution between hands when played as a solo is a little tricky, so an overhead tutorial will follow.
