There’s a valuable footwork concept that is not being taught enough in the tennis world. In this lesson, Jeff Salzenstein reveals a powerful secret tip that will transform your forehand footwork. He will demonstrate it step by step, so you can develop the right rhythm, tempo, and balance on your tennis movement. And you can practice this tip at home without even hitting the ball. Jeff has seen that when tennis players move, they don’t split step on time and don’t r make the correct first move with their feet. You’ve got to work on your first move, one of the cornerstones of the Tennis Evolution system. Therefore, Jeff goes over the ready position fundamentals during this tennis lesson. These are a couple of tips to keep in mind. Keep your arms relaxed, and the racquet tip slightly angled by holding a forehand grip. Get your feet in a wide base, outside your shoulders. As soon as you see that the ball is coming to your forehand, make a solid first move by keeping your elbow away from the body, and the off arm straight. Afterwards, your goal is to coordinate the upper body movement with your first step. It could be a drop step, shuffle, step in or step out depending on the ball. You’ve got to take care of these fundamentals in order to be able to move effortlessly on the court, and start crushing your groundstrokes consistently.
