If you have sensitive knees, I offer a modified goddess type shape moving into a forward fold. Regardless of which style you choose, make sure you keep the breath rhythmic and powerful. The core of the practice comes in our rhythmic bending twists, kind of like a windmill motion. Engage through the legs and take note: how stable is your base? As we continue, we finally drop into the meditative aspect of the practice. The legs remain firm and strong, but the breath and upper body stay soft. By slowing things down in this way, we can really affect our energetic signature, change how energy is flowing in our body, and change our connection to the earth.
